Insanity is just a state of mind!

I never cease to marvel at first snowfall that "sticks". I got up and let the dogs out and was greeted with a hushed white landscape, giant fluffy white flakes falling. Makes me kind of glad I missed the weather news, it would have ruined the surprise. Well, back to reality, time to shovel and brush off the car before work.

Alas, no. Just a lonely little pile I mounded up while shovelling the driveway. Just enough to remind me that I still don't know why I'm living here!

I'm in Texas, do you have pictures of this alleged "snow"? I suppose it just falls from the sky, too.

Well shucks no sparky, we plant it. You mean you never seen a snow harvest? You have heard of snow fields right? How do ya think you get them thar sno cones anywho? Well hell's bells son, the Seven Eleven would go outta bidness if we didn't growd it. I tell ya what, I can hep ya. You can actually make yer own snow seeds. Yup, swear ta gawd ya can! First ya gots to get some water, tap waters fine. put it in sumpin sos it won't run all over and spook yer cat. Them little plastic or alloomenum trays works best. Then walks yerself over to da fridge and open up the freezer and put it there in the dark for a spell. Boy howdy, there ya go snow seeds! Now just go outside and find some nice level spot, I hears a public park is best. Ya can even ask the nice people there to give you a hand. Digs yerself a few holes and put them suckers in there, cover em up and wait. If anyone asks, jes tell em yer waiting for the snow to grow. I'm sure sooner or later some nice snowmen, they wear some snazzy white coats, will come along and take you to a place where you can see all kind a snow, 'specially after they gits ya filled with anough medicine!

Seriously, you want a picture? We got another 3 inches tonight. I better haul ass though, temps suppossed to rise to low 40's by Sunday. Figures. It always gets nicer during the work week!

I'm still waiting to see my first true snow here in Italy. I can remember last fall winter when I got to see Florence covered in snow. It was sooo beautiful!

I used to live in the Texas Panhandle and loved to see the first "snow dusting" of the year. Gotta love the snow!
