Life gets a bit complicated
I'd like to appologize to those people I engaged in discourse with and suddenly left hanging. Life kind of gets in the way sometimes. Those few moments I did have time to jot a few lines, I was bedeviled by an intermitent computer problem. I finally tracked it down to a failing hard drive that caused some power spikes and drags, and, believe it or not, to rearranging the furniture! I finally broke down and got a plasma HDTV and joyfully discovered that I could use it as my PC monitor as well. I use a wireless trackball and keyboard on my setup, with the box hidden away in a utility closet next to the sump pump (don't worry, the damn thing's been dust dry since we built the place 16 years ago; I dump a bucket of water into it once a year just to make sure it still runs). The plasma panel is a 50 inch model, and leaving my recliner where it was, caused just a wee bit of neck strain (except during football games of course) so I moved it further back, failing to realize I was also moving out of range of the wireless receiver! I wish I could blame all of my typos on that as well, but I know better!
