Sanchonino See What You Started!
Published on March 22, 2007 By Nadeon In Movies & TV & Books
So, Sanchonino got me started on this with the guilty pleasure article. It's appropriate since the new (last?) Star Trek Movie is in the works.

Do you love or hate Star Trek and why?

What's Your Favorite Star Trek Series?

What;s your least favorite?

Are you a Trekkie (If you cried when they auctioned off the sets and wardrobe, trust me you are)?

I used to love to watch TNG when I was a kid. it was awesome. I still think it was the best of the Treks.

I haven't gotten into any of the others. I was dating a girl for awhile that was a hard-core Voyager fan, but I think only because it was a female captain, and she liked the idea of the lady in charge.

I haven't thought of my Star Trek roots in many a month . . . makes me want to see those horrible movies again.

I'm a trekkie, I'll admit it. TNG is, of course, my favorite. I've only recently gotten into DS9 and Voyager. I don't really care for the original series, however, though I do like "Voyage Home".

I got to meet William Shatner once. He was the narrator of the musical work "Exodus" I was in. He made me sad, though, because he wouldn't sign autographs.

Oh yes! I really got into Voyager and DS 9. 7 of 9, the Borg and wormholes and Prophets not to mention The Dominion respectively!

I'd heard that about him. George Takai is pretty good about it though.

How about Enterprise? I thought it was a little lame at first, but after awhile pretty decent if you let yourself get into it. I was actually surprised it only went 4 seasons. They really had their work cut out for them with the whole prequel and time travel episodes. Nice job all in all though.

Re: Voyager; did you ever notice when Kate says her name Captain Katherine Janeway it always sounds like shes saying Katherine Katherine Janeway?

Love Star trek!  Favorite is the original.  The chemistry between Spock, bones and Kirk was never equalled in any of the others (although they were good in their own right).

Least favorite was Enterprise - they just could not get the right mix with Gene gone.

I got Nog's autograph.  I met him at a mini convention they had in town one year.

Not really a fan. I watched TNG on and off when it was originally airing, but going back to watch them now I cannot stand them. I watched the old movies, but never really got into them that much, and have had absolutely no desire to see them since.

I've never watched Enterprise. I didn't really like Voyager at first, but 7 of 9 is so funny, that I can't help myself. Plus, it comes on Spike after TNG, so I might as well watch it while I'm doing my homework. They stopped showing DS9 recently... I have no idea why. I love seeing more of Warf.

I like star trek but I don't think I qualify as a trekkie. I didn't like it enough to speak klingon, own a uniform or go to a trek convention but I watched. The original when I was a kid and it was on reruns. I watched TNG when I caught it but not religously. I watched DS9 all the time. Voyager occassionally and I think I might have caught Enterprise once or twice. I loved Scott Bakula on Quantum Leap but I never became a regular Enterprise watcher.

I think my problem is that now that I've seen what a REAL sci-fi series can be (sorry, Trekkies, but Firefly and Galactica are where it's at) I can't watch that crystalline vision of the future. I need gritty. I need real people, not just cardboard cutout characters. And that seems to be what I see on Trek when I try to watch it now. It's just not got the fleshiness of those other shows.

Do you love or hate Star Trek and why?
I love Star Trek because it's a future that is so advanced that war, poverty and anger have been wrapped into a very nice, neat optimistic package. And Phasers set to kill kick but. I mean who thought of that?

What's Your Favorite Star Trek Series?
The Next Generation For sure. That was the best series of the all! No one can tell me that they didn't bite their nails when either The Borg or Q came around.

What;s your least favorite?
Voyager...Boring cast...boring captain.

Are you a Trekkie (If you cried when they auctioned off the sets and wardrobe, trust me you are)?
Nope. Star Trek is just cool.

I'm officially over Trek. I couldn't care less about the new movie. I recently borrowed the TOS DVD's from the library and couldn't be bothered to watch them all, even after 2 months. There was a time I'd have watched them all within a week.

Favorite: The original.
2nd Favorite: Voyager.

Least Favorite TNG. Awful show, IMHO. From the ground up it showed what a hack Gene Roddenberry really was.

George Takai is pretty good about it though.

If only to spite Shatner.

1. More or less like it, though I don't pay too much attention to it.
2. Classic.
3. The new stuff.
4. I thought they should've put it in a museum, but I didn't cry. I was sick at the time, so I was too busy with my eyes running already.
